red mail Rebecca Kay
My great great great grandmother, Rebecca Kay (or Kaye) was born in Balfron, Stirlingshire in 1815. She married John Black in 1840 in Glasgow and had two sons, John Blair Black (my great great grandfather who was the first Black to emigrate to North America) and Charles G. Black. John Black, her husband, died at the age of 32 of the DT's leaving her a young widow. Any information on Ms. Kay or her husband would be appreciated. I am wondering if her mother was a Blair.

They were related to the Young's & Kennedy's of Campsie. Please get in touch if you have any info or pictures. Any contact would be very very much appreciated. Yvonne
