red mail Family research
In 1840 (2 may 1840), Griffith Williams born 1809, father Rowland Williams (farmer) married Margaret Roberts (spinster) in the parish church in Trawsfynydd. Margaret was living at home with her parents at Blaen y cae Trawsfynydd, but on the marriage certificate, it shows father as Robert Jones (farmer). When I looked for the farm of Blaen y cae on the 1841 census for Trawsfynydd, I found, Robert Jones (farmer) born 1781 age 60 Trawsfynydd, Catherine Owen born 1781 age 60 mantwrog, Owen Roberts (son) born 1821 age 20 Trawsfynydd, Jane Roberts (daughter) born 1821 age 20 trawsfynydd. Was Margaret related to the above and was Catherine her mother, if so who was the father and what happen to him, Any help how big or small would be a great help, by the way Griffith Williams was my great, great, grandfather, Many thanks.
