red mail Cooper
Seeking any information regarding Cooper family recorded at 66, Worcester Street, Llangattock, in 1881 Census. Father was George (born c.1851) a miner, mother Mary A (born c.1855). Ellen Cooper (born c.1879) was my Great Grandmother. She is recorded with brothers Arthur and Frederick and may well have had a number of younger sibblings. In 1900 Ellen gave birth to an illegitimate daughter, Mary Ann. Shortly afterwards Ellen entered Newport Union Workhouse where she remained until transfered to Wooloston House, Chepstow. We lose track of her there in June, 1931. Any information regarding Ellen or her family would be much appreciated. Greg

red mail Beach family in Llangattock 1861
I am looking for information on the Beach family, father Edwin (shoemaker), wife Mary, sons Alfred, Caleb, Edward, George and Henry, daughter ? Alana. On 1861 census they were living at what sounds like a pub called the King of Russia. The street name is illegible.
red mail JAMES PRICE
I'm looking for information on James Price who was a widower when he married my great grandmother Margaret Edwards about 1890. They had two children, my grandfather William James and Margaret Anne who died in infancy. They were married a very short time before James Price died and my g grandmother remarried Morgan Wile. It has been a huge surprise to my family to discover my g grandfather might have had a family before ours. James was born in Llangattock and about 1870 was living in Aberdare (he could have been about 21 years old)
