red mail PRICE Tailors of Velindre / Glasbury, Breconshire
My PRICE family lived in Velindre through the second half of the 18th century, the 19th century and into the 20th. The furthest back that I can get at present is to my 5th great-grandfather Rees PRICE, b 1759, married to Anne JONES. My 4th g-grandfather was John PRICE, and then comes a row of three George PRICEs. All of these ancestors were tailors. My great-grandfather George PRICE b 1861 was also an innkeeper (of The Three Horseshoes, Velindre). His eldest son Rhys PRICE b 1889 was my grandfather. Do these names ring any bells?

red mail Mary Ann PRICE b 1850 Velindre
I am looking for Mary Ann PRICE, father John PRICE, tailor and mother Mary PROBERT, last seen in the 1871 census, when she is with her mother Mary, step-father George PRICE (also a tailor) and other siblings. She was a shirt maker and single at that time. I cannot find a marriage or burial for her at Glasbury, where other members of the famly were married and buried. I have searched and searched the 1881 census for her, single or married, with birthplace Glasbury or Velindre or even just Breconshire. Can anyone help?
