William Morgan was born in Crucadarn in 1782 and went on to become a clergyman. His father was Morgan Morgan,a yeoman and i believe his mother was Elizabeth Davies. Can anyone confirm this or give me any further information?
red mail Thomas and Lydia Morgan of Crickadarn
Looking for descendants of Thomas Morgan (c1813-1892) and his wife Lydia Powell. Thomas Morgan was the blacksmith in Crickadarn from the 1840s until a few years before his death and they had eight children: Thomas, Lydia, Esther, Catherine, John, David, Joshua and Margaret. Any information would be appreciated.
red mail Griffiths
William and Elinor Griffiths were farmers at Gwenddwr they had a son James in 1844 who married twice and had 13 children in total. The 1881 census show his son David then 9 and daughter Eleanor then 7 as born at Crickadarn. This census also shows a daughter Julia aged 13 and Margaret aged 16 as well as wife Margaret aged 38. My grandmother Ruth was the youngest born about 1881 when they had lost the farm and moved to Abercarn, Monmouth. I do not know the names of his first wife or his other 7 children. Margaret was born at Llyswen in 1843 and was i think a Morgan.
