Looking for any family descended from James Wallace born in 1787 at Bowrock and his wife Margaret Gilchrist. This is in order to fill out a family tree my mother started which I am working on expanding. My Family line descends from his son Thomas Wallace born 1824 at Hapland Muir near Dunlop, who married Margaret Frew in 1857 as registered in Dunlop Parish. Very interested in expanding the breadth of the tree more than taking it further back so please feel free to get in touch! Cheers, George

red mail Steel Saltcoats Campbell

red mail Robert Stevenson (married Ann Jamieson in 1808) Stewarton
I am looking for information on Robert Stevenson. His date and location of birth are unknown but he married Ann Jamieson 26 Aug. 1808 in Stewarton. Marriage performed by Rev. William Hamilton of Kilmarnock. Robert Stevenson was a mason and I've located him in the 1837 Pigot Directory, High St., in that category. However, I have been unable to find him in 1841 or 1851 census records, though it ~appears~ his wife Ann with 2 children was living in Stewarton then (she was listed as Mrs. Robert Stevenson on Main St.). Anyway, if anyone knows anything about this family it would be greatly appreciated. I have a hunch Robert may have had a brother John (a slater) - who was living in Stewarton in 1841 on Main St.
