red mail Kearns in Knock
Looking for present day "cousins" or any ancestor info on Kearns surname in Knock area of Mayo. My main ancestors were Bryan Kearns of Ruane (b. abt 1821) and Mary Callaghan of Lakehill (b. abt 1841) who had 11 children, many of whom emigrated to the New Jersey and Philadelphia area in the late 1800s and early 1900s
red mail Finn family knock
I recently visited Ballyhaunis and spoke with Tom Finn (at the shoe shop) about possible relatives. I showed him a photo of my father and uncles and he thought that they looked like the Finn family in Knock. The earliest relative I have in the Finn side is Patrick Finn b.1861 in Mayo. He married Margaret Mullen (b1868) in 1895. We were led to believe that my Grandfather (Lawrence Vincent Finn b.1921 Manchester UK) and his brothers, regularly visited relatives in Ballyhaunis prior to the second world war. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who thinks that they might know the connection that we had to Mayo.
red mail Liscat, Knock
Does anyone have connections to the Lee families from Liscat?
