red mail Layden's of Gorteen
Hi, i am trying to find more information on my ggrandfathers family Michael Layden (various spellings)who resided in Gorteen. I have Michael and Ellen (no marriage details known) having John c1861, Michael c1864, Patrick c1869, Ellen 1874 and Agnes 1876, there may well be other children too. Michael was deceased by 1901 and Ellen is described as a farmer aged 60.

red mail Dockry
I am looking for the family of Michael Dockry, however I have seen it spelt incorrectly as Dockray. He was born 1876 and moved to England around 1910. He was born in Gorteen, although he did mention Bunnadden when he was alive. His parents were Michael and Mary Dockry nee Duffy. Any help in finding any family there would be helpful. Thank you.

red mail Patrick Finn from Kiltycreen, Kilshalvy, Sligo
My grandfather, Patrick Finn (1879- 1921), came from Kiltycreen, Kilshalvy, Sligo . He left Ireland in the late 1890's and arrived in New York. He served in the 69th of New York National Guard; however, he was too old to go to WWI. He died in the flu epidemic in 1921. He married Mary Tone of West Meath, Ireland (1885 -1955)and they had 5 children: Thomas, James, Henry, Frederick and Ellen. Does anyone have any information on this family.
