Looking for my husbands grandfather born about 1870.Married to a Nora Collins. My husbands father was born in Claregalway in 1892.

Thomas Qualter of Gortcloonmore married, Bridget, daughter of William Lenehan of Gortadooey in 1858. Their children were Catherine c1859, John 1863, Thomas 1867, Mary 1871, Martin 1874, William 1877 and Julia c1881. Carherine is believed to have gone to Australia. Thomas has been traced to Indiana USA. John, Mary and Martin married locally, William remained unmarried and Julia, like Thomas, went to Indiana. Catherine and Julia remain untraced. If anybody has this family in their genealogy tree I would be pleased to hear from them. Update Feb 2010. Both Catherine and Julia 's descendants now traced.
