red mail Baird & Bicker
My great x5 grandparents were Thomas BAIRD and Grizel BICKER who were born around 1729, possibly in Ayrshire. They had 3 daughters, Anna, born 1749 in Ayr, Marion, born 1751 in Ayr, and Grace (or Grizel), born 1770 in Ayr. Grace BAIRD, my great x4 grandmother married Peter YOUNG in 1793 in Ayr. Peter may have been a soldier. They had a son, John YOUNG who was born in St Quivox, Ayrshire, in about 1802. John YOUNG was a Supervisor of Excise, and he died in 1878 in St Quivox. He married Agnes FARQUHAR in 1826 in Ayr. Does anyone have any relevant information, or can I assist anyone who is researching the same people? In particular I’d be interested to get more details on Peter YOUNG and on Grizel BICKER. Update May 06 - Grizel BICKER's parents were John BICKER (1709 app) and Isabell WILSON (1709 app)who were married in 1725 in Ayr. Isabell's father was William WILSON (1689 app).
