Nova Scotia Military History
I would like to know more about Nova Scotia in England. The only Nova Scotia I've ever known before researching my ancestors in West Riding of York was Nova Scotia Canada. My gg grandfather was in the British Army from 1854-1872 and we were told he was stationed in Nova Scotia and that was all. No one said Canada we just assumed it was there. Could he possibly have been stationed in Nova Scotia in England? Any information would be really, appreciated. He had family living in Allerton Bywater West Riding of York. Would love to learn more about this area of England.
