Need information please on David Hughes who migrated to Australia in 1844 or earlier. He is said to be related to Australia's Prime Minister Billy Hughes. When Billy's mother Jane nee Morris died, the 6-year-old child was sent to Llandudno, Caernarvonshire to live with his mother's family and attended school. His father William Hughes, a joiner, remained in London. He is shown in the 1881 census as having been born in Holyhead but I cannot find an entry for him there. He may have been born in Llandudno. I have a likely David Hughes, born on 27 Feb.1825 at HOLYHEAD to William Hughes and Mary Ellis married there on 15 April 1816. I need to establish a connection between David and William Hughes. Can anyone help, please? Also, how do I access Welsh emigration records? Many thanks. Kurt
