Mrs Prince becomes Mrs King
I have a family story that i would love to be able to confirm or contradict. Apparently, one of my female ancestors married first a Mr Prince and then a Mr King, having multiple children with each husband. The story congratulates her on her 'promotion' through marriage. Unfortunately i have no further details of names or places, but i can make some reasonable assumptions. It is most likely that the people involved lived in the Malton/ Vale of Pickering/ Wolds/ Howardian hills region of N and E Yorksire. It is also likely that Reuben King (born c. 1821 in Malton) is from the most recent generation that could have been a child of these marriages. I have details of all subsequent generations but i do not have details of Reuben's parents.

Can anyone shed any light on any of this? Thanks, Jim
