Thick Family
My great grandmother's brother was Eli James Thick (in some records referred to as James Thick) married to Ellen Redman in Fisherton-Anger, Wiltshire in 1859. I have found them on the 1871,1881,1891 census' living in Lambeth with 3 children, James, Fanny Gertrude (or Gertrude) and George. On the 1901 census he is in the Newington Workhouse listed as a widower. He was a carpenter or joiner. Eli James was born in 1843 in Stourton Caundle in Dorset and Ellen was born in Somerset in Wiltshire. There marriage states he was 23 and she was 27 at the time, which made her year of birth about 1832. Information I have found states she died in 1903 and he died in 1892 but given the fact that he was on the 1901 census leads me to believe the dates were switched. I wonder if there are any descendants of these two individuals who would be interested in exchanging family information or anyone with additional information regarding this couple and their family.
