Thomas Parker, convict --> VDL late 1820s
Thomas Parker was transported for burglary on the William Miles to Van Diemen's Land in 1828. He was a Farrier's Boy and committed burglary on Tottenham Court Road in London. He was tried at Middlesex G.D on 31st May 1827. His convict record tellsus he had a sister Sarah Parker at Battle Bridge, who was married to a hawker named Cately. Thomas also stated he worked for a Mr Wilsden, costermonger "travelling about". He was 18 at the time of transportation. If anyone has any info onthe Catelys or Thomas' parents/siblings I would be most interested to hear of them.
