Hammond lloyney/knighton
Hi my family came from lloyney, my gg grandad was a master tailor and would sit in the window to gwt the last of the light as he was sewing, william hammond 1884-1956, His wife eleanor nee jones, they had 3 girls 1 son eleanor, edith, mona an jeff, mona married a cadwallader and stayed in knighton, eleanor maried a liverpoodlian and lived in liverpool but died young with lukimia age 41, murial(edith) ha 1 son ivan and lived south, jeff stayed at home until he went in to a hospice and lived his life out there, william gg grandad had a brother edward who was maried to betha they had a son vincent edward hammond who died in ww1, i am looking for anybody whos family members who would of been in the border regt, 11th battalion I have never had a photo of him and to complete my family history i go to knighton/lloyney 3-4 times a year to pay my respect to there graves and visit the places they would of been, any help i can give i will, my 4 x grandfather was Henry Griffiths he helped build the viaduct there, my 2 cousins still live there joselyn and brenda they was school teachers, i love the area very much, thank you for your time margi
