Condron /LEstrange Families
I am looking for the family of my Great grandmother Bridget Condron / Conron/ Condran.
She was born in Mullingar 1834, we believe her parents were Edward & Elizabeth
(Nee L'estrange) Condron.
Bridgets siblings were James Condron born 1826 & Mary Condron born 1831 in Mullingar.
In June 1849, Bridget & her sister Mary arrived in Adelaide Australia, on board the Barque Inconstant, they were with the 40 potato famine orphan girls from Mullingar.
Bridget married William Selleck in August 1853 at Hutt river South Australia.
It seemed to be a happy & prosperous marriage, she owned a home and ran a small market garden in Clare South Australia.
Bridget died in1916 and was survived by 6 of her 10 children.
Little is known of her sister Mary after arriving in Australia.
We think her brother James Condron married Catherine Casey in Mullingar 1851 and had 3 children. Bridget born 1855, Mary Ann 1861 & Ann in 1864.
Hoping somebody knows of them. Thanks Lyn
