Barkers of Kensington
As a boy in the 1950's my father took me to Barkers emporium to show me a plaque with the names of employees who had fought in the South African wars. My great grandfather, Thomas Cook named on the plaque. The shop is now under new ownership and no one appears to know what happened to the plaque. Was it my imagination? or does any one else recall it and possibly know what happened to it.
Many thanks
Ken
