I have found an entry in parish and National Burial Index for John Glyde who was buried at St Mary in the Castle Hastings Sussex on 19 March 1842. However there is not an entry in the national death indexes for that approximate date and the local registrars do not have any certificate for him. He was shown on the 1841 census with his wife at Gas Cottages. His wife Charlotte died in 1848 and was described as the relict of John Glyde.

Has anyone any ideas for what may have ocurred for his death record?
