former hotel on Renshawe Street
Looking for anyone who might know anything at all about a hotel that once stood on Liverpool's Renshawe Street at No.55 around 1853. I think (but cannot be 100% sure of this) that where the hotel stood is now the Mint Casino at the junction with Benson Street.
This hotel was at the time run by one Herman Christian Meyer, a German national who happens to be my gt gt grandfather. The business went bust, and I have several newspaper articles detailing his bankruptcy. I would love to find copies of the court proceedure handling this.
