William Watson
I am searching for information for a William Watson b. Sunderland c. 1892. At the time of his marriage to Elsie Lillian Thorpe (b. Sheffield c. 1890) in 1911, at St. Johns the Baptist church Owlerton Sheffield, he was a serving as a Gunner in the Royal Field Artillery stationed at Hillsborough barracks Sheffield. In April 1912 at the birth of his son William Herbert Watson he was a Gunner in the 106th Battery Royal Field Artillery I assume still stationed at Hillsborough barracks. The trail now starts to go cold another son appears Kenneth Watson b.1923 but his name doesn't appear on the birth certificate. A daughter appears in 1928 with Williams name as the father. When Elsie dies in 1952 she is down as widow of William Watson ship yard labourer. is there anyone who may be able to shed some light on this search and help me to solve the riddle.
