Actor, peddler and traveller
Looking for information about the Attis / Hattis /Aittes (or any other ways of mis spelling it that you can think of) family. James was a bit of an actor and traveller going round performing plays in portable theatres mostly around Wales. His wife was Harriet Manley. They Married at st. Martins, Birmingham in 1834. A daughter, Esther was christened at Newhall in 1835 & daughter, Sarah , was born in 1839 but died aged 2 and was buried at St. Martins. Its possible that another child, James, who died in Bristol in 1841 aged 6 months was also one of their children. I can't find any death or marriage for Esther so she may also have died young. I can't find correct deaths for James or Harriett either nor are they an any census's that I can find. They moved about a bit so I assume that is why, unless they avoided it for their own reasons. The only information I have about them is christenings, marriage and an article which mentions him in the Monmouthshire Merlin newspaper in 1852.
Any snippets of information would be appreciated. Thank You.
