John Burkett (1798 - 1855) just gives Ireland as his place of birth in the English 1851 census, then deliberately dies before the 1861 census. He lived in Clerkenwell in London, England and was a secret springer - creating the spring which makes the cover "spring" open on a pocket watch. Later, possibly when his eyesight was failing, he ran a pub. He married a Mary Ann somebody from Binfield, Berkshire so ceremony prob took place in England. Does anybody have any ideas on where in Ireland he came from? Jenny
