Henry Hick Williams-Tinsmith Brazier.
Henry H Williams was my G. Grandfather. He was born in Falmouth,Cornwall.1814.
His father Philip Williams died in 1817.Somehow Henry arrived in Worcester and
married an Ann Williams in Claines in 1840.They had five children Thomas b.1842,
Joseph,b.1845,(My Grandfather)Mary b.1848.Charles,b.1850.Harriet,b1852.Sadly
Ann died ,Henry then married in 1855 Elizabeth Dawson.Four more children were
Alfred b.1856,Henry b.1858,Sarah Elizabeth b.1862,and Alice b.1865.
Joseph Williams married Frances Webb at Little Malvern,1871They emigrated to
Brooklyn,USA,Joseph may have worked on the Brooklyn Bridge as he was also a
Tinman Brazier.They had three children,John b.1874,Joseph H.and Frances Ann
b1880.The family returned to England and settled in Colchester Essex, circa 1881
Two more chidren were born,Edward b.1882 (My father) and Henry Leonard b..1884
The family moved to Newcastle upon Tyne, after a severe earthquake damaged
Wivenhoe and Colchester in 1884.
It is possible that the family had Williams relatives in the Colchester area.
I have traced the family back to the 1700's in and have established that we have
Norse/Viking ancestry via Y dna testing.
