ASPIN/ASPINAL/CHILD/DIXON
I am looking for information on Samuel Aspin (Aspinal) and Ann Child who were married in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 1799. Samuel was a thread maker at the time of his marriage. Have not been able to find them in any census subsequent to their marriage. I believe Samuel and Ann are the parents of my gg-grandfather James Aspin, born about 1814. James Aspin married Elizabeth Ann Dixon in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 1855. Have found no evidence of James' birth nor his existence either prior to his marriage to Elizabeth or after; James does not appear anywhere in either the 1861 or 1871 censuses although Elizabeth appears as "married" and living in Morley with all their children.
