William Baker born 1840 Clerkenwell
My gg-grandfather William Henry Baker was born in Clerkenwell c1840. He kept a barbershop on Morning Lane in Hackney where he and his wife Martha (nee Scudder from Thundersley, Essex) raised their family and lived until the early 1900's. William's marriage record shows his father as John Baker, printer compositor. I've been unable to locate William's birth record so can only speculate that his mother's name might have been Louisa Berris. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
