Wilson, Newcastle, Morpeth, Middlesbrough,
Seeking any information on William Wilson, born in Morpeth to Sarah and Thomas Wilson in c. 1868. Married Margery Ann Ridley in 1892 and had a son William Herbert Wilson in 1893 in Jarrow. On the 1901 Census shown as living in Newcastle on Tyne with Mary Ellen Wilson (poss wife) and their children. William Herbert aged 7, Edith born in 1900 in Jarrow and Alice aged 14 born in Hoyland. Have found no record of a marriage for William Wilson and Mary Ellen Wilson, indeed Margery Ann Wilson (wife)died in Newcastle in 1907. William and Mary Ellen moved to Middlesbrough and had several other children, Caroline (Carrie) Arthur, Frank, Tommy, Ronald being among them. Some time later William Wilson left Mary Ellen and family in Middlesbrough and is believed to have returned to Newcastle where it is thought he settled down again and had more children, possibly two sons. If anyone can throw any light on this please get in touch, we would love to know what happened. William Wilson was my Gt Grandfather, his son William Herbert was my Grandfather and Margery Ann was my Gt Grandmother.
