James Place
James Place of Burrill near Bedale married Isobel Herd in Bedale in 1734

They had a son James 1735-1819

Grandson Thomas 1772-1820
Great Grandson Thomas 1809-1842
Both the above were drugists and Clockmakers of Bedale.

Can any one help please Does any one know the ancestors of James Place his date of birth and whether he had brothers and sisters.

I am told that I am related to him but can not find a connection in my family tree which only goes back to about 1670.

I also have a clock face and works by Thomas Place Bedale 1772 so am very curious!!
