Allen. Armstrong
John Allen and Isabella (maiden name not known but possibly Armstrong ( see below) lived in Fermanagh, Ireland. They were probably born around 1825 and married around 1855. They had at least one child - Thomas Allen born c1857 in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, N. Ireland. He emigrated to Australia aboard 'The Northampton' arriving in Sydney, New South Wales on 24 December 1880. As far as can be ascertained he was not accompanied by any other member of his family. However, although the ship's record is difficult to read, in the column headed 'Relations in the Colony' it does appear to say 'Uncle. William Armstrong. Sydney' so it is possible that his mother's maiden name was Armstrong; alternatively William Armstrong could be the husband of John Allen's sister. According to the ship's records his 'calling' was Sailor, he was in good health, he could read and write and his religious denomination was 'C of E'. He married Hannah Jane Adams on 20 May 1891 at Mortlake Congregational Church, Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.

I'm looking for any information on John Allen, his wife Isabella and their ancestors/family and/or William Armstrong.
