Info re: Frederick Clark & John Clark (Plymouth & Middlesex)
I'm searching for more info about my grandfather, Frederick Clark and his father John Clark. Frederick was born in Middlesex, London and married Mary Ann Nixon from Brixton, Devon on 7th June 1908 at Plymouth Register Office. He was 30 years old and Mary Ann Nixon was 21. His residence at time of marriage is give as The Citadel, Plymouth, and he was a Gunner in the Royal Garrison Artillery. His father, John Clark was deceased at the time of Frederick's marriage, and his occupation had been Railway Stationmaster (maybe in Middlesex). Mary Ann's father was Richard Nixon and he was an Insurance Agent.
In the 1911 Census Frederick and Mary Ann were living at 10 Phoenix St, East Stonehouse, Plymouth and Frederick is working as a Hotel Pantryman.
I'd like to know more about Frederick's childhood, and his parents' history, which so far has proved extremely elusive!
