John Dunn / Beatrice Holland
I am trying to find information on my Grandfather John Dunn born 1879/80ish. I beklieve he grew up in Newcastle. he had a brother. They were both involved in the thratre amature dramatics probably? He then went into the second Boer war I believe as a horseback riffleman. I hav photographs when he was in the theatre and on horseback in the Boer war.John unn was too old to serve in the Great war. But took a position as a special constable for wish he received a commendation certificate from Sunderland council,,,,So must have been living in Sunderland during the 1St. War. He married (I think) Beatrice Holland which caused a devide in the family. He had 3 children John Dunn Dennis Dunn and daughter Louie Dunn. His two sons were active in the second world war. His brothers son was killed in action. John Dunn's eldest son went to tell his Uncle and Aunt then living in Newcastle the sad news. They ran down the path to great him beleiving he was their own son.
John Dunn made childrens Dolls houses in his spare time.
