My wife's maternal grandparents were from the Wilby family in Burston from 1889 until 1949.
They were involved in the well- known 'Burston School Strike', when the local children went on strike from 1914 until 1939.
His name was Robert Wilby and he worked on the railway. His wife was Mary Ann Boast before she married and she died in 1939.
We would like to hear from anyone interested in this story; or this time; or the Wilby family.
