In 1843 Christopher COFFEE was transported to Tasmania. Christopher's own description of his crime "stealing 3 sheep from my aunt, Miss LE STRANGE of Mullingar".

The Guardian, Mullingar Law News, lists amongst upcoming trials "Mary COFFEY and Christopher COFFEY, having in their possession, on the 23d **, three ewe lambs, the property of Miss Ellen L'STRANGE.

Miss Ellen L'STRANGE was presumably Mary's sister.
