22 Sept 1832 R. Levingstone wed M. Cosgrove
On 22 Sept 1832 Robert LEVINGSTON 21y and Mary COSGROVE 17y married at Newbridge (now Avoca). Robert was the son of William Levingston (pump honer and farmer) and Mary (Marion) Wright; Mary the dau. of John Cosgrove (labourer and foreman of the copper works) and Elizabeth Harris. Robert and Mary and their 3 children sailed on the "Argyllshire" to Australia as "assisted" migrants, arriving at Sydney on 12 Nov 1840. They settled at Walcha on the New England Tableland of NSW and prospered. They became my Great-Great-Grandparents. They were RC. Mary d. 1867 Walcha; Robert d. near Walcha 1883. Any info about the LEVINGSTON (also spelt LIVINGSTONE, LIVINGSTON), COSGROVE, WRIGHT and HARRIS families much appreciated.
