Hope this will be of help to anyone with Irish roots especially overseas members. Tipperary was a county, which had a town of the same name. So it is essential initially to take steps to find out which township or village in that county that they hailed from as 'Tipperary' is too general a term and given the proliferation of Irish surnames an almost impossible task to trace a particular person.
I have been researching my family history for over 30 years. One branch The Duckett family was located in Shropshire from 1605 to the present. My paternal Gt Grandfather James Duckett, a Taylr located to Salford Lancs and married there 1859.
I am interested in all members of my family, one offshoot being Edward Green who owned a paper Mill in Weston Rhynn in the 1780s he died there in 1797 and his daughter Tamar married into the Duckett family. I worked professionally as a genealogist until a couple of years ag but am now just re connecting with my own family research. I would be interested with anyone who thinks there may be a connection, in any field
