What happened to Aunt Mary?
My cousin and I were told very little family history and it appears that when our grandmother died in 1916, just a few weeks before the Easter Rising, the family split and some aunts and uncles moved to England. We believe our aunt Mary Nolan (maiden name O'Sullivan)became a widow at an early age and possibly remarried. We never met our aunt, but wonder if any of her children would be willing to tell us what they know of the family.

I am still looking for any information about my great grandparents Michael Sullivan and Mary (maiden name Nagle). They lived in Millstreet, Co. Cork between 1866 and 1880 and had sons, Lawrence, John, Jeremiah, Patrick and Richard, also daughters Margaret and Catherine while they were living there. I have been hoping that someone living in or near St Patrick's Church Millstreet would have noticed these names on tombstones or perhaps in old directories - I need a piece of good luck, as Michael was born about 1838 so before Civil Registration. A story has come down the family that Michael was a soldier and served in the Zulu War of 1879. Grateful for any ideas or information about Sullivans in Millstreet.
