Quotation: "looking for details regarding my gggfather who was born in Mullingar around 1831, William Davis the son of william davis and mother mary, also looking to see if he had any other brothers and sister etc, william married a english lass, elizabeth poyner and came to Gayndah Australia in 1862 with two children and then had eight more.He is suppose to have a brother called Richard who came out to Australia ten years prior or so but can not find any records of him coming out and a cousin is suppose to have arrive some time in between this also called Elizabeth her mother had died and her father could not look after her. any information would be most helpful." End quotation.

I present current research on the above William DAVIS and Elizabeth DAVIS from the Parish Killare, Poor Law Union Mullingar, County Westmeath at my website. Note that their parents were actually John and Ellen.
