Family of William Henry Farr in Wales
I am hoping to contact somebody who is a descendent of Edward John Farr (born 1830 in Raglan(d), Monmouth) and Mary Edwards. Their children were Alfred, William Henry, Mary S., Thomas Charles, Henry (Harry), Elizabeth Jane, Arthur, Edward John #1(died at 14 from falling into a punchion machine according to his death certificate), Edward John #2, Beatrice, Charles, infant (died at time of John #1's death), and two other "unknown" siblings.

One of the children, William Henry Farr (born 1859 in Trevethin/Pontypool), Monmouth, married Elizabeth Jane Evans (born 1834 in Govilon, Monmouth) on 09 September 1852 in Pontypool.
Her father was Enock Evans.
While most of the family came to the U.S., William H. remained in Wales and married Amelia Phillips, born 1860 in Ebbw Vale.
Their children included Amelia, Beatrice, Lilly, Gertrude, and Effie. Two of these daughters were apparently unmarried and lived in Abergavenny until sometime in the 1900s and had a shop of some kind. Is there anybody who knows anything about any of these five daughters of William Henry Farr and Elizabeth Jane Evans? Since their last names would have changed upon marriage, my research has come to an abrupt halt. UPDATE: 18SEP2013-Have recently made contact with a Farr relative in the US who had a photo of the whole family (William, Amelia and the girls). Still looking for any information that may exist about William (a butcher) or any daughter who was a shopkeeper.

Member's Profile
My name is James Farr. PATERNAL LINEAGE My Farr lineage is from the Pontypool, Monmouth, Wales area: 1. William Farr (m) Catherine Williams 2. William Farr (m) Mary Edwards 3. Edward John Farr (m) Elizabeth Jane Evans (dau. of Enock Evans) 4. Thomas Charles Farr (m1) Eva Miller (m2) Lucy Evans 5. Albert Charles Farr (from m1) (m) Melinda Brown 6. Lynwood Albert Farr (m) Lura Annie Austin 7. James Bruce Farr My Brown lineage is from the Midsomer Norton, Somerset, England area: 1. Henry Isaac Brown (m) Sarah Flower Hill (went by Turner because George Turner, b.1819, married her mother after she and her sister were born-whether he is the biological father not known) 2. Melinda Brown (m) Albert Charles Farr 3. Lynwood Albert Farr (m) Lura Annie Austin 4. James Bruce Farr I am looking for the "missing links" for Farr, Brown, and Turner. There is a "Flower" link, because Sarah Flower Turner's middle name likely comes from her maternal grandmother, Mary Flower, who married Isaac Hill. MATERNAL LINEAGE On my mother's side of the family are the surnames: Grindel/Grindell/Grindal, Austin, Benson, Blake, Snow, and Hopkins. Stephen Hopkins, who sailed on the Mayflower, and his daughter, Constant/Constance are my link to the Mayflower. After gathering bits and pieces of information from the 1960s until now, I am now retired and have time to do some extensive research. Any information you would like to share would be greatly appreciated.
