I am looking for information on John and his family who i believe lived in Doddington or North Witchford in Cambridgeshire...John was born in around 1815/16 and possibly lived in March in 1841...in 1848 John married Ann Atkinson born 1839 from Frampton in Lincolnshire.
In 1851 they lived in Kirton Lincolnshire with 1 child, in 1861 again in Kirton they had 4/5 children, In 1871 Five of the children were shown in the Workhouse in Boston but cannot find John or Ann...John died in 1879 aged 64, In the 1881 census Ann was shown as being in the Boston Union Workhouse as a Domestic Servant.There appears to be 7 children in this family...2 0f them in 1881 Henry and Edward lived in Lawrence lane Boston with Henry`s 1st wife Jane Bainbridge and their Daughter Florence 5 months old.
Any information on this family would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on Thomas Stafford and his family who i believe lived in Doddington in Cambridgeshire. Thomas had a son, Edward, born at Doddington in 1830 and who migrated to Australia in 1852. This is the line I am chasing up from the Australian end.
Thomas was a Church of England Clergyman who also had 3 other children, Cyril(1827) William(1828) and Mary(1833).

I am seeking information on the family of William SETCHFIELD (b:1/Jan/1828) a Cordwainer or Bootmaker. He married (1) Louisa PEDLEY on 25/Nov/1849, (2) Matilda CLARRIDGE on 21/Mar/1856 and finally, Susan(nah) ROWARTH 25/Jul/1856.
His father, also William was born in 1789 at Wimblington and married a Sarah ? on 7/Feb/1804.

|CLEMENTS, Charles - birth surname BYE - (Dullingham - Cambridgeshire)
I've recently been told that my great grandfather Charles CLEMENTS, born about 1832, on applying for his five-shillings-a-week state pension had to obtain a Birth Certificate to prove his age. It is said that he then discovered he was a foundling, and that his surname at birth was in actually BYE. I suppose one or both of his adoptive "parents" may have still been alive, and gave him the information that enabled him to obtain his Birth Certificate.
If anyone has any information linking BYE's with CLEMENTS, presumably in the Dullingham area, please get in touch!

John Duxford, b. 1510 in Duxford. After marriage to Agnes (last name unknown to me) they moved to Ashwell some 15 miles away. I was told he was listed on the 1545 Subsidy Roll at Clothall. I'd be expecially interested to learn about his will.

Looking for family of Job Wilson possibly Duxford born approx 1788. Job was convicted of burglary (a coat) at the Essex Assizes (Chelmsford) on 13 March 1811 and sentenced for life transported to Australia on 3rd Sep 1811 on "Guildford" arrived Port Jackson Jan 1812. Job was a sawyer. Job after many years became free and was granted land in Kurrajong, NSW. He had many children some names were Edward, Simeon, Elizabeth,Job, Susannah, Timothy, Phoebe, John, Susan, Thomas, Jane, Jessie, Matilda.(perhaps called after his parents or siblings.) His wife was Elizabeth Ann Rogers. Any Wilson family out there with a Job or some of these names please reply- I have no real idea which village he came from?

Hi,I am reserching my family tree and have found that the MARKHAM family ( to which I am related )originated from ELM in WISBEACH CAMBS. The earliest member I have traced is THOMAS MARKHAM born in 1818 and living at a place called Friday Bridge?. THOMAS was married to a widow called SUZANNA SEEKINGS formerly BURTON. SUZANNA was born in 1807 or there abouts and had at least 4 children to THOMAS,one of which was YOUNG MARKHAM born in 1846 who was my great,great grandfather.Going back to THOMAS,It is said that he was a blacksmith in ELM on the 1851 census but I wonder if anyone could tell me anything about THOMAS MARKHAMS father who I believe was called WILLIAM MARKHAM and in 1843 is said to be a inn keeper at ELM.I would be so happy if anyone can help me.

My 4th Great Grandfather was John Wright born about 1775 in Etlisley, Cambs. My 4th Great Grandmother, Sarah Day Wright was born abt 1779 Gravely, Cambs. They were married Feb 11 1800 in Cambs. Their son Samuel was b 1802, Eltisley. Samuel was married twice that I have found. His first wife and child died shortly after she gave birth. Samuel's 2nd wife, Eliza Piggot Wright was b 1810 Gamlingay. They had the following children: Martha b 1829, Sarah b 1831, John b 1835, William b 1836, Jane 1839, Betsy 1842, Samuel b 1845, Mary b 1847. John married Sarah Goodwin Wright who was born abt 1828 Houghton. Sarah had a child before marrying John, her son was James Goodwin, John and Sarah lived in Elsworth and had the following children: James, Phillip, Arthur, Julia and Lydia Wright. Phillip Wright married Hannah Fensome in 1875. Phillip and Hannah are buried at St. Katherine's in Irchester. They raised a large family in Irchester. There children are Arthur b 1877, Erma, John b 1876, Rebecca b 1879, Lydia b 1880, Ellen b 1880, Phillip b 1884, Ada b 1885, Emma b 1887, Florence 1887, George b 1888, Ethel b 1892, Edith b 1894, William b 1896, Lily b 1898. Lily Wright married Joseph Luck. They lived in Irchester and raised 8 children. Joe and Lily and their family immigrated to the US in 1949. I am interested in learning more about the family history and making contact with other relatvies

Edward Chapman born Eltisely 1809 but at marriage of Gravely married Elizabeth Marratt of Gravely in 1834, and they baptised a single child John in Eltisely in 1835. Elizabeth died only one year later aged 21, after which Edward has disappeared without trace. Interested to hear from anyone who has come across him
