red mail Looking for Blunt, Hyde, Bulmer
I am looking for any body who knows of any of my relatives. Here is a very brief history so save confusion. My G.Grandmother was called Elsie Hyde born of James Andrew Hyde and Sarah Ann Nickerson in 1901 in Wombwell. James Andrew was a coal miner. Elsie went on to marry William Henry Blunt whom was also in the coal trade as a Hewer. They went on to have Mary Blunt (my G.mother) in 1923 in Wombwell as well as 3 other children. Mary went on to marry Arther Bulmer in Dec of 1944 in Bradford and went on to have many children including my mother - Carol Ann Bulmer. Arthur's mother was Larinia(?)Ethel Saunders, father was Cyril Bulmer a Coal merchants Steam waggon driver (Believed to have been shot dead but found no evidence of this as yet) and where residing at Clayton Hights. Arthur is said to have a twin brother of the name of Harold whom was said to have died at birth but no birth certificate or death certificate have been found to state this. If any body can connect any information to any of the above people I would be very interested to hear from you.
Whiteley Maw
Trying to find anything on Whiteley Maw, he was actually born in Haxey, Lincs, but he was living at Wombwell when he married in 1884 Between his birth in 1863 and his marriage in 1884 nothing can be found about him. He's not shown on the Lincolnshire census, can anybody check the Wombwell area from 1871-1891 to see if he appear on them. Or does anyone know of his whereabouts between the two periods mentioned above. I wonder who brought him up as his own mother died a couple of weeks after giving birth to him. His grandparents were also from Haxey Lincs, but I don't know if they moved or not. He lived in the Barnsley area for the rest of his life and is buried in Barnsley cemetery. He died in 1936. Not much other is known about him, can anybody fill in the missing years? Thanks.
