red mail Lacey Family of Yorkshire
My husbands family are the Laceys of Kent - namely Stockbury, Hollingbourne district and in modern times, Strood, Frindsbury. They are convinced that James Harry 'Ginger' Lacey, the famous WWII Fighter Ace (born Wetherby, Yorks)is related to the Kent family. I have researched our line to 1650 and I can't find any connection to Ginger Lacey at all. I have tried to go up as many side shoots as I can to no evail. Is there anyone out there researching Gingers family and have they come accross any possible links to Kent ?.
red mail boston spa
The 1901 census records an Alice A Webster working as a servant at The Moorlands in Boston Spa and details her birth as around 1874 in Manchester. Does anyone know anything about this lady? I am trying to locate the birth certificate of my gt gtandmother Alice Agnes Webster born around 1870's in Manchester according to info on her marriage and death certs which I have. I am wondering if this lady is linked to my family but cannot confirm that. This is turning into a 'needle in a haystack' search and until I can confirm her details I cannot research back into her parent's generation. I will be grateful for any info or help with this. Thank You
