red mail Wath grammar school photos
I am looking for old wath gs photos. My mother, Mary Cutts would have been a pupil there around 1932/3/4. She said she was a paying pupil? Wath gs records are not easy to come by. There must have been a school photographer as there was when I was a pupil. Any ideas? Carol.
red mail The Publican's grandaughters
Louisa Longden spent the first 15 years (at least) of her life at the White Bear Inn. After her father Matthew Longden (the publican) died in 1886 her mother Phoebe Pollard married George Searby in 1887. Within 2 years Phoebe was dead and Louisa and her siblings continued to live at the White Bear with their stepfather George. Louisa married Jonathan Hargreaves in 1894 and they lived on Cemetery Road, Wath. They had 6 daughters to my knowledge Ada 1895, Nelly 1896, Alice May 1900, Hetty 1903, Selina 1906 & Eva 1910. If anyone can tell me what happened to the family after 1911 I would be most grateful. Dates of marriage, death, names of spouses & children, addresses occupations etc.

Anyone have any knowledge of what happened to this family. Many thanks
red mail Sparta, Grammar School, Wath upon Dearne
I have in my possession a photograph taken, I believe, outside the Grammar School, Wath upon Dearne. There are 42 boys and 3 Masters. On the back of the photo is written SPARTA 1928 and some names i.e. G.D.Ingham, J.Beardshall, W.Lord, E.Speight, A.Haigh, W.Maddison, J.Wood, F.Patrick, G.Haigh, C.Elliot, W.L.C.Pratt, R. Briesling, J.Bottomley, L.Hoy...,J.Picton, R.Ellison, E.Cameron, G.Collins. The names were written on by my father J.H.Hargreaves. Why he would have this photo I don't know as he would not have been at the Grammar School until the 30's. He was a member of the House of Sparta, as I was in the 60's. Was W.L.C. Pratt the headmaster? I seem to remember that name. If a relative of any of the above mentioned would like the photo please contact me.
