DAVIS/FOSTER
William DAVIS and Amelia FOSTER are my 2xg grandparents. They returned from Australia in June 1859 docking at Liverpool with their three children all under 7 years of age. A couple of weeks later on 3rd July Amelia gave birth to Isaac at 3 Bragge Lane, Stanley cum Wrenthorpe. I know very little about them prior to this as I am unable to find birth details of Amelia and William except that Amelia was born in Whitechapel and William in Bristol both in 1830. For a family to descend on someone in these circumstances I feel they must surely be a family member. However, the 1861C has 10 sections with one missing and that missing one covers the low numbers of Bragge Lane. I know there is another White Chapel and I have researched this but with no luck. I am aware that there is an Amelia born in Whitechapel London in 1830 but this is not the one I am looking for. I need to know who was living in 3, Bragge Lane in 1859. I know this is a long shot but I feel I have exhausted all other avenues. If anyone can recommend any booklet etc. or any little snippet I would be very grateful. Edna
