George was a Sailor/Waterman and House Proprietor, and the son of Richard Hastings and Elizabeth WILBY. George and Elizabeth Hastings (nee Ripley) had these children: Charles, Elizabeth (who married Edward SILVESTER), George (who married Sarah THOMPSON), Mary, and John (my direct ancestor, who married Ann FOX).
