Searching for relatives and information on the above , John Naylor of littlemoor Pudsey died in 1837 feb age 56. His widow Sarah (wilson) was half his age and remarried not long after a William Parkindon. John and Sarah had 4 children, George,Peter,Fanny and Jane. My belief is John was a widower before his marriage to Sarah, not sure if he is born Pudsey or from elsewhere.Philip.

I am looking for information on John Lawson. He was born around 1828 in Pudsey (I think, he was definitely born somewhere in Leeds) and married Jane Wilkinson who was also born 1828 in Pudsey. John was a carter. They appear to only have had one child, Harriet (born 1855 in Pudsey). John only seems to appear on the census once in 1871 then disappears completely. Elleanor TROTH was my Grandma,s Grandma, she was born in 1838 in Henley in Arden, Warks.Shown in the 1841 census as living with a SMITH family. No trace or clues of her parents.In 1881 census she turns up at Rickardshaw Lane, Stanningley or Pudsey, can never tell the diference. Living with her is son Jeremiah born 1860 at Bridgenorth, Salop, a boot maker by trade, He marries a Ruth WINN of Pudsey. on his marriage cert. he declares to be born at Stanningley, Also living with Elleanor who now uses the name Ellen Ann Smith, born 1842. are two daughter Isabel born Pudsey 1869, she marries a John HEATON of Varley Street, Stanningley,She was my Grandma.s unmarried mother. Another daughter Agnes or Emma Agnes born 1872 at Stanningley . She is a Primitive Methodist Lay Preacher. They have all apparantly changed their names, places of birth and dates of birth. I have managed to obtain marriage certs. for Jeremiah, and of Isabell but are not of any great use. My family say they do not know of an Agnes SMITH, Their memories can only say of a Emma SMITH , of course she could of had the two names . Ellen SMITH the mother is the mystery woman cannot find any details of her marriage, there is no mention of a husband,excepot of Isabell marriage Cert where it only says John Smith deceased. There also are no records of her birth and death. I have been at it for a year now trying to locate Ellen SMITH, so if there is anybody out there that could possibly throw any light on this family I would be extremely grateful. Thank you.Almost forgot Ellen SMITH lived and owned a shop at 77, Bradford/Leeds road,Stanningley, which was shown in the 1908 Yorkshire Trade Directory.

I am searching for any information on Samuel, or any other BAKER information from the Pudsey area. I cannot find any record of him until 1861, when he was living in Bootle, Liverpool. He was an engineer and boiler maker and owned property in Pudsey (2 lots of cottages) at the time of his death (Dec. 1881)as well as his (large) house in Bootle.If anyone can find him on the 1851 census I would be grateful.

There my trail goes cold. I do not know where or when either John or Elizabeth were born or how many other children they had.
