In 1891 Garibaldi was a footman of 26, living with Edmund & Isabella Calverly & family at Oulton Hall. He was the son of William Botting and Patronela Plews who married at St George Hanover sq westminster in 1856. His siblings were: Alice married to George Slugg, Alfred Botting married to Jane, Julia married to William Hart, Frank married to Fanny Buckland and Ada married to george Warner. Garibaldi married Alice Chideray, or was it Calverly? in knaresborough district in 1894 Harrogate. In 1901 Garibaldi Botting was a Butler living at 52 Dragon Avenue, Harrogate. his wife Alice Botting was a Baker & confectioner and others living with them included: widow Emily Midwood, harry Midwood, Matthew morrell, William Fox and Peter G Ross.

Robert & Hannah Whittaker both born 1789 - children - Edward born 1820, Elizabeth born 1825, George born 1822, John born 1827, & Robert born 1830. John Whittaker married Emma Lee who was a widow - she had previously been married to a Mr. Smalley who died. John Whittaker died in 1857 in India - likely during the Indian Mutiny of 1857. He may have been in India with the British East India Company, and family legend says he was murdered.
