Looking for information on a Benjamin Broadbent, born August 1913, died March 1986 and buried in St Michael's Mytholmroyd. He married an Annie Butterfield, early in 1935, she died January 1987 and is also buried in St Michael's. Known to have had two children at least - Beryl in 1938, John in 1940 and possibly at least one other.

I am looking for anyone searching the Cragg Vale/Mytholmroyd area who may have come across any Broadbents. I have traced one branch of my tree to Mytholmroyd, a Jacob Henry Broadbent, b 1841, wed in 1866 to a Sarah Flooks, b 1842. They lived in Mytholmroyd and had 7 children. Harry, b 1876, Thomas Edwin, b 1870, Young born 1872, George Gibson, b 1875, Edna b 1878, Elizabeth Ann b 1881 and Lena b 1883. Edna and Lena ran a clothes store in Mytholmroyd in the mid 1900's. Several are buried in St Michael's grave yard. One grave also contains some Robertshaws and Broadbents that do not fit in my tree! Looking for a Gibson Broadbent, born 1890 and wed in 1912 in Todmorden to Sarah Midgley, b 1890.

George married in 1867 to Mary Ann EMSLEY in Otley and seen in the 1881 census for Selby, his occupation Currier journey man. Mary Ann had a son Robinson Emsley EMSLEY, b1865,in Clitheroe, Lancs, 2 yrs before she married. Eight years later they had a son Ben PATRICK, born 1876 in Selby. I would be interested to know if anyone is searching this name
