I'm looking for information about the Westwood family. My great grandmother, Betsey Catherine Westwood, was born in Oxford around 1852. Her mother was Lois (or Louisa) Westwood; her brother, Henry Westwood. They were all in Leeds by 1881. Betsey seems to have married a John Briggs, but later became the partner of John Hodge, my great grandfather. My grandmother Ada Lois Briggs (later Hodge) was born in Leeds in 1876.

I am searching for the parents of Joseph WHITAKER who married Grace CLIFF St Peters Leeds Yorkshire 1801. It appears Joseph died some time between 1811 and 1818 when Grace married William GAUNT. Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated. I am also looking for information on their son, William WHITAKER married to Hannah DICKINSON who came to Australia in 1849. He was a Wesleyan Minister for 43 years in Australia. I believe he was a wool stuffer in Yorkshire. I have a lot of information on William from his arrival in Australia but nothing of his life in Yorkshire.
