He was a Silversmith and General Dealer. Born in Italy but a British subject. His wife was Lucy, aged 50 was born in Ireland, son Joseph aged 8 born in Leeds. Servant Mary Morland age 24 Domestic Servant. My great grandmother Annie Lousia Norton worked for this family prior to her marriage.

A relation of my family was Walter Hooley. He was an escapologist. Circa 1929 whilst performing a stunt in Leeds he was arrested, I believe for causing a disturbance due to the crowds gathered. It was reported in local newspapers. Also remembered is a rhyme. "Walter Hooley, very poorly, yours truly, Mrs Hooley". Written by his mother to school. Anyone know of this Yorkshire Houdini character?

William Brayshay married Hannah Mary Hardwick in the 1860s somehwere in the Leeds Bradford area. Their eldest daughter Isabel married her first cousin William Lee Richardson Hardwick sometime soon after 1901. Hannah was a widow in 1901 census and living in Rawdon, Leeds with three daughters. As I am not a direct descendant of this family, but am descended from Hannah's parents through one of her brothers, I don't have any additinal information on the Brayshay families, but if anyone has William and Hannah it would be interesting to graft the two trees together!

Isaac Parkin in Leeds Yorkshire
I am looking for my Great Uncle Isaac Parkin. He was born in Doncaster, but in the 1890's he and his sister Mary Ann, went to live with his Aunt Sarah and her husband Thomas H Broadbent a Leeds plumber. In the 1901 census Isaac was a Tram Conductor in Leeds, and according to Kellys Directory's continued in that job for some time.

In the 1861 census his name is misspelled as "Barshew" Rhodes. He married my g'gmother Elizabeth Waddington in 1867, Castleford. In the 1871 census I believe his name is misspelled as "Barston" Rhodes. His occupation was a "glass blower". He died in Barnsley, 1891, the same year my g'mother Mary Elizabeth Barstow Rhodes was born. I have some information on his other children but am mainly looking for anyone who knows anything about his parents, siblings and other ancestors. I do not have access to the aforementioned census. In 1901 George Frost was age 52 and living in Leeds, a widower and a Railway Policeman. Born in Mendham Suffolk. With him were two sons Percy B. Frost age 27 and John A. Frost age 21. George`s parents were Dennis & Phebe Frost. Looking for any descendants. George had married Mary Ann Eggleton in 1873 in Bethnal Green and there was also a third son John A. Frost born 1880 in Leeds.

Hi my ggrandmother statesd on her marriage cert that she came from leeds. Her name was Sarah Hodgson daughter of John Henry Hodgson and Lucie nee Greenwood. She was married in Geelong Aust in 1909. Does anyone know if there are still Hodgson and Greenwoods in the leeds area. Also would someone have any idea how to find out when Sarah came to Aus and if shee came alone.
