red mail Hannah Barber
I am trying to find details of my g-g-g grandmother Hannah Barber who according to the 1861 census was born in Ilkley. She married David Mellor in Otley in 1859.They lived in Bradford and then in Rawdon and by 1881 David was a widower and back in Bradford.Their children include Walter(1862, Bradford)Mary Ellen(about 1865),Frederick Albert(about 1867, Rawdon) ,Sarah Louisa (about 1872)and I think Herbert Wright Mellor (1870, Horsforth and died 1872, Bradford aged 1).Apart from her marriage and the 1861 census, where she is listed as paint and paper decorator, the same as David, I can't find anything.Any information would be greatly appreciated.
red mail Brogdens
I am researching Johnstone (Scotland c. 1848) of Sharlston near Wakefield - John Johnstone was a grocer, his wife was Emma Thompson (Newcastle 1848) married in Morpeth. Their son Jaspar Johnstone (1878) was my grandfather. His other sons were John, William, Ernest and Lawrence. Also the Brogdens: John Thomas Brogden (Ilkley c. 1841) married to Susey A. Smith (Denholme c 1840). Their children were Charles Henry, Hannah, Edgar, Ezra, Flora A. and Zillah. Zillah was my maternal grandmother. They lived at Low Common, Altofts. Thank you in anticipation Jaz
